Date: Tue, 14 Jan 2003 I always wanted a wedding that was small, personal and "real." Fortunately after months of planning, that's what I got. The only problem was, how would I ever find a photographer to capture the simple emotion of the ceremony, or the closeness of friends and family? Every wedding photo I had ever seen was contrived and fake. After searching the internet for days, I somehow stumbled upon Michael Roche. I'm not sure quite how it happened, but he agreed to photograph my wedding ... a stroke of luck on my part. The subsequent photos reflected that day in a way no video camera ever could. The tiny moments captured by Michael helped us relive emotions, not just actions. He is brilliant, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have shared one of the most important days of my life with him. Faith Miller/Barger Dear Michael, Wow! The pictures of our wedding are just amazing. You captured exactly what we had hoped for plus you made us all look so real, natural and beautiful! You are very talented and I'm so thankful you took a chance on our Kairos Barn Wedding. I still can't get over the uniqueness of each shot and the character (of) the lighting the sepia tone and the angles gave to each photo. A super thank you for stay(ing) so calm and understanding with all the chaos, the rain, my mom and the other photographers brought to the event. Despite it all you still captured the old fashioned, simplistic, realistic wedding we had always dreamed of. It was fun! Thank you for the memories you caught on film that we'll share & remember always. Rachel & Russell Date: Wed, July 17, 2002 Dear Michael, I will write you back more later, but just wanted to say thank you so much for the beautiful photographs. I have never had ones of me that I liked so well. They are really wonderful and will be treasures for me and my family. Thank you again. Rosemary. Date: Sun, 11 Nov 2001 Wow! Wow! Wow! You blow me away! Ya know, I knew you were good but those pictures-your portraits-are poetic, soulful, intimate, beautiful. It's like you capture the essence of a person. No, you do capture the essence of a person! Michael, thank you. Thank you for being the determined artist that you are and bringing poetry and real beauty and truth to light. I am still basking in the shivers of looking at your work... Seeing your work reinforced how important it is to be around inspiring people. I'm going back to your site to drool some more. sigh... nattie |
